Does anyone have this for their rig? I want to mount some leaf springs under my project 82/93 hybrid Bronc', but I don't want to pay their ridiculous price. Thanks all!

I have the kit and will be in California for CalRocs... you want to buy mine? I decided against using it on my F-250 a while back, and haven't taken it out of the closet since it came.

They list 2 different kits on their website...Is it because the difference in frame design or frame widths? Does your 96 have the accordian frame in the front , like the Broncs? Thanks Doug! You da man... :)

The reason is that the early kit needs the frame to be boxed at one point... the kit I have is the exact same...just without the necessary metal to box a C-channel frame... It should work.

:D Shawn, thats a shot of Lawyer's rig right? I've been thinking of going with that approach. Doug, ORU lists 2 different shackle reversal kits, one for 86.5-91 models and another for 92-97 models.

Yeah Jeremy... a little time with some plate (which you have to do ANYWAY with the ORU kit) and you're in business. A hell of a lot better than throwing $500 into ORUs coffers.

Yeah, that way does sound enticing cuz $500 for a bracket is just plain ludacris. :(

The other problem I can see with the ORU kit is that bar my interfere with winch mounting depending on the type of bumper you end up with. My POS TJM bumper has the winch sitting right between the frame horns, same on the ARB bumper. Since the approach angle of a full-sized Bronco is :rainbow: any custom winch bumper you make is going to want hte winch tucked in as close to the radiator support as possible, especially if you go with a 12K or something like that.
If you're really worried about lateral support, make your bumper into the front crossmember.

Hmm, thanks Rade~ something to consider...I bought a Kennesaw bumper for a 92-96 Bronc/truck, but the mounting points are different. A while back, I bought it from a MBB member for $100 plus shipping. The reason why he sold it so cheap was that the brackets were wrong for his 92 up Bronc, so they just shipped him another one. He sold me the FUBAR'd one. The only thing I have to do is to modify the bumper brackets. I'll see how far it sits back into the frame... :p

 DOH! Thanks for the  KL. I'll try not to do that again! BTW, I think you did a good job on your SAS ;)

I didn't recognize that as your rig from those pictures...

I know yours isn't sketchy...it looked like it wasn't boxed in from that angle...

Hey what ever happened out in Silverton this summer?

that SAS looks fine to me its all boxed and bolted, and the bumper helps support from frame spread. The only thing is it may need something in the middle ala the oru kit

Keith, got any extra front hangers laying around? ;) I may just "copy" your design but instead of using the 77 hangers, I may just go ahead and use the Excursion hangers I got here. These things drop almost 4 inches, plus they look up to the challenge of taking a beating. I mean if it can handle the Excursion with the weight of a PSD, then it should be more than enough for my rig.
