After realizing that the resevoir was empty, refilled and after a few hours noticed a puddle under the tranny. Looks to be coming from between bellhousing and tranny. So do I need to pull the tranny to rpair/replace internal slave or can it be done throught the rubber cover. This is a 5 sp. Thanks, Dennis

you have to remove the trans to replace the slave on that truck. make sure the hydraulic line is not cracked or the connector going from the line to the slave on the side of the bellhousing is not leaking.

Yep. Gotta drop the trans:(

The slave is around the base of the input shaft.

What 4x4junkie said. Just make sure to get the little bearing behind the flywheel, and replace it. Also, bench bleed the slave Cylander. Makes bleeding it when in the truck a snap. If you've had any thoughts of a new clutch do it now, while it's all apart.

In short, since the tranny's out, replace everything! :flipoff2:
