FYI: '93 YJ, Lockright in rear 35. 5spd, stock tranny/t-case, 4.10 gear ratio.

Okay, question about the locker and the tranny/T-case (not sure what is happening)...

It's always been, that when i back up and turn, like out of a parking spot, once I stop accellerating, I step on the clutch to let it coast the rest of the way, and so as not to have to deal with the locker jumping around. However, even with the clutch depressed, the locker still grabs the transmission some how... You know how whenever you drive in reverse, you hear it whining whhhrrrrr...is that the tranny or the t-case? Well, whatever is making that noise, catches due to the locker. The only way to stop it, is to back up, apply clutch, and take it out of gear. Then it will coast smoothly with no catches.

Not sure if I'm explaining this clearly or not...

What's concerning me now is, it's acting the same way in 1st gear moving forward. Say now I'm pulling into a parking spot, I approach, step on the clutch to coast in, but as I'm turning the locker catches, and the tranny/t-case clicks along with it...

Is this normal?

Well I'm glad to see I'm not alone....I get the same thing with my set-up , but it doesn't happen all the time. Pull into a parking spot slowly and the piece o chit jumps and lurches like the clutch is not dissengaging. I'm starting to think that it is the clutch (internal slave) not dissengaging all the way. But I would like to hear any other opinions
