windows98 11-06-2001, 01:35 PM id shoose the fj because the color catches my fancy
The 40 flopped and fawked up his rear control arms about a month and a half ago...I imagine he has fixed it by now though. Not sure how long it took him to get it off the trail. It's a pretty cool rig..lots of gadgets.....I would rather build my own, and scrap the unneeded mods....
VT_Toy 11-06-2001, 01:44 PM Neither. For that much money you could build, or have built, a truck that is exactly what YOU want :D
id have to go with the build it not buy it theory myself. but if someone was gonna give me one of those for free id go with the fj, mostly cause i already have 3 jeeps.
BillaVista 11-06-2001, 03:26 PM Definately the Toy for bigger tires, lower gears, and the Tireloc system.
LOKNLOD 11-06-2001, 03:57 PM I prefer FJs...but that's a danged ugly paintjob.
Is that the same fcfred from the PBB that is selling that CJ?
NE-RokToy 11-06-2001, 04:12 PM definatly the CJ! It takes more then big tires and low gears to work well. The main thing I like about the CJ is the proven warn suspension setup, the Fj suspension doesnt look nearly as well thought out. But personally I would build up something out of a stock jeep.
RHINO 11-06-2001, 04:19 PM i like cruisers much better than jeeps, but between those two i would take the heep, it sure looks more trail worthy than the sky high cruiser.
FatCity 11-06-2001, 04:58 PM First off, the yota is a tree house and the suspensions that backyard guys do are at the very best questionable. The warn isn't anything to brag about either, unless you like bragging about how many times it fucked you, same with the toy.
That's just how things go.
play it safe and go with the Jeep, I have a strange feeling that billybobs toy has alot of bugs still.:nuke:
not to say the Jeep dosn't

windows98 11-06-2001, 06:12 PM was the fj in top truck? he says that it was built for the top truck in 99 i dunno? also it looks likle he built it in the shop he works at.
Jakesteramalamajama 11-07-2001, 05:49 AM Neither. I'd build my own.
Lake Racing 11-07-2001, 06:05 AM Bulid your own or buy a project with merit

My thoughts exactly. :D
FRIZZLEFRY 11-07-2001, 06:11 AM Id pick the FJ cuz its not a jeep :D
robellis77 11-07-2001, 06:43 AM Definitely the first one just because of the rad paint job:barf:
SweetCJ7 11-07-2001, 07:10 AM Build one of your own....

 yea hu :D
Shaker 11-07-2001, 10:51 AM I am in the "mindframe" that you build what you want so you know how everything works and why. You also gotta realize what you are gonna use the "rig" for. I would learn twoard to Fj40 tho......:D :skull:
RCKRATZ 11-07-2001, 11:02 AM I wouldn't waste my money on either one of those things. Build it. make it what you want, not what someone else decided they liked.
