I took apart my '87 AOD out of a Grand Marquis to rebuild, I was real carefull. When I pulled the valve body off there were two steel plungers on springs towards the front end (they look like miniature golf tees). Unfortunately I did not realize they were different sizes and I do not know which goes in which whole. I was hoping you might be able to inform me. They are located where the tranny filter supplies fluid to the valve body, can you assist me?
