Is there a site where I can look up an engine # and get the frame VIN? The smog guys are being dicks on a motor I got parted out, didn't get the frame VIN# :( . TIA!

TIA! 82F100SWB 01-27-2003, 03:36 PM Nope, the vehicle VIN# is not on the engine. The best you can do from the casting number is the type of vehicle the block was orig. cast for. Now, if it was hooked to a 3.03 3 speed, the chassis vin might be on the bellhousing flange of the transmission. Otherwise, you're SOL Have fun... Evan | |
