Instead of bending around the dash..just take a hole saw and go thru it. It turns out much cleaner, and you don't have window crank problems. That is how I did mine, and I have been happy with the results.

I thought about doing that...but with the way i bent mine...i dont have any window problems, and my dash is in one piece.

I see some bracing from front to back , but non side to side. Are you planning to do some? How have you tied it into the frame?
Or have you just gone to the body. I wound run a diagonal over the front seats and one behind the seats. also if you can tie the front hoop into the middle hoop near the floor, you could then tie your seats into the cage.

How many feet of tubing did you use? I have 40 feet and I am not sure if that will be enough.( I want a pretty stout cage) Looks good though:D :smokin:

Not any pics, but then I didn't mount it to the frame. I just went to the body. My thought is if I roll a dozen times off a mountain, I don't want the undercarage with me.

My cage is alittle away from the norm. when I cut the top off I used 2 1/4 square to box the rear and form the lip. I have welded my cage to this , forming a intragal, unibody type design.

There is plenty of bracing side to side....besides this thing weighs like 2500 lbs...it doesnt take a whole lot of bracing....
No it isnt tied to the frame..i didnt think it weighs enough to warrant all the extra work...im not driving that fast on the rocks any ways...but you can see here that it is plenty strong.

It doesn't show in your pictures? What have you done to brace from side to side?

Rudezuk

Well if you look at the pics at the top...you will see that there is a brace that goes over the dash, there is one that goes behind the front seats, and then there is the one at the back of the cage....That is pleny for a zuk.....This has been over 4 times over the last few years and NOTHING has moved...

Depends, what size tube is it? Do you want to reuse the factory main hoop? :)

It works as a tire carry, no loss of departure angle. made of 1/4 x 4" flat stock tied into 1 1/2 x .120 hrew. :)
