Or come to the BLM planning meetings, speak up and fight to keep it open.

The meeting is tomorrow night in Coloma. Not that far from Roseville. Take 80 to Auburn. 49 south. Just past the park in colomo is the Odd Fellows hall. meeting starts at 6:30.

This week is finishing up comments on another parcel across the river, but if you come you can learn how the meetings work and how to work the meetings.

Two weeks ago *we* were outnumbered about 100 to 10. That means *they* can get a consensus. Last meeting, on discussions of a parcel *we* really don't care about, nor do *they* the voting was about 30 to 20.

We need equal or greater numbers at these meetings to influence the decision making process. Tomorrows meeting is prolly not a must attend, but if they breeze through the Norton ravine, and get started on the Pine Hill reserve area, and we don't have enough folks there then the draft plan will be driven by the homeowners.

anyway, I'll prolly see ya'll there tomorrow and prolly be late like last time.

Here is what is written on the BLM website.

http://www.ca.blm.gov/folsom/sfa_pinehill.html

"recently, OHV use in the Weber Creek area has increased, causing noticeable damage to
botanical resources. The confluence of the South Fork American River and Weber Creek
has become a weekend party spot for young people. OHV use and the parties at the river
have resulted in severe erosion, destruction of riparian vegetation, and litter. Residents
of an adjoining subdivision are concerned with the possibility of a wildfire being ignited.
Vehicle access to this area will be addressed both by the Pine Hill Preserve management
administrators and the BLM South Fork of the American River planning process."

We need to stress much of the litter is from non OHV use. It is at the top of the road and is 2 wheel *CAR* accessible.

Yeah, everytime I've been down there, I've seen at least a couple non-OHV users down there. Unless you consider a Kia Sportage an OHV:flipoff2: . There was one of them down there, looked like they where going to camp.
