I am disasembling a 4wd th350 and am trying to remove the output shaft. I have the input shaft and all the gears out but can't figure out how to get any farther into the tranny. Anyone have the solution?? Thanks

It's been a few months since I had one apart but I think you are missing the large snap ring along the outer edge that will allow you to pull the plate out and then the bands will follow. If you don't get the answer today I will try and find my th350 trans book tonight and can scan the pages and send em to ya. Or if you need it right away the Library always has those kind of books also.

nah don't need it right away but will still try and find the library today. I got it down to the big cup with the toothed edge that has a planetary gear down in it. Thanks for your help.

i am pretty sure they are similar to a 400, there is a center support snap ring, right in that area,
also have you taken out the center support bolt from the valve body side, 12 point 3/8 or 1/2 inch bolt. if you have it should pull straight out. give me an e-mail if you need more
