IN MY SAGA TO BUILD MY Z71 solid axle truck,,,ive ran into a few problems. i ordered my kit from OUR,and the guy i talked to was nice. well,,today when i called about a dropped pitman arm, this guy i talked to was a complete jackass, he was very rude to me and did not have any interest in getting my buisness. so i called national tire and wheel. i always talk to Dave,,his extension is 116. he has always been nice and helpful to me. he called around all day trying to find me a pitman arm for my truck. well,,,come to find out,i called skyjacker and the guy said if i could get the spline count and shaft diameter,he could get me one. well, since im a manager at Autozone,,i took a stock IFS pitman arm and measured it with a dial caliper. the splines were 28,,,and it had keyways clocked in the 12,3,6,9 positions. so i called skyjacker back,,and another guy anwsered. he knew what pitman arm i needed from the start. come to find out,,,i can use the same arm that is on a ford 76-up with power steering. so i called dave back at national and had him to xpress me one with a 5.5in drop. id just like to say that i will NOT do any more buisness with ORU. my praises goes out to dave at national,,and the folks at skyjacker for being so helpful and nice.

Here is something a buddy found out and posted elsewhere:

"A Ford,(771/2-79),F250 drop pitman,Skyjacker #FA 325, arm will fit a Chevy 2WD steering box. If you want to use the premade draglink hole, a MOOG,(ES-413R)tierod end works good. If you want to use a Chevy draglink end,use a snap-on reamer,(R-121),and enlarge the hole yourself! Some of those companies offer this pitman arm but you'll pay too much!"

Seems like ORU and others were selling these pitman arms at inflated prices.... that may explain why they did nt want to help you source your own...

I have a full size IFS box on my s-10 and a 4" drop Skyjacker pitman for a 3/4 ton ford. It's very stout!

In defense of ORU, there are now 2 of them here in LA. I don't know which one you talked to but I'm guessing it is the newer one because the manager there is a complete jacka$$. If you talk to the guys at the original one they are cool as heck.:D They do some amazing work, but the guys that are working their new store bite...
