It LOOKS like the DII V8 and the 300TDi mounts are the same, anyone know for sure (ie a V8 would swap into a 300TDi frame)

I am not positive but when we put bill's (frankenrover) 300 in we had to put new engine mounts on (came with a template) Either KC or Bill should know for sure and I would PM KC about the template enough said

I know V8 defender and disco I use different motor mounts than the 300Tdi but I can't say for sure on a DII, never really looked. I would have to think they're the same as the older ones in which case the motor mounts and transmission are different. You also can't get away with just swapping bellhousings and torque converters either, the rear part of the transmission case is different in length between the V8 and 300Tdi. Tdi autos move surprisingly well though.

When Matt comes by I will look at the D2 mounts vs. my 300TDi. Or email me the distance on a DII from the spring perch or some other reference point to the mounts and I will do the same on the TDi.
