first off, the driver side is really close (like a di#! hair) from the rod for my manual steering still. and since i flipped the springs, the are at a slight angle going frowqard from the top mount and the pass side is just touching the mount. what can i do? do i need to cut out the fenderwell and move it to the front of the shock arm/hoop? argh...thats gonna ber a pait...or will it be ok? i didnt think theyd rub so bad. they are 9012's so they are beefy, can they handle some minor rubbage? thanks peace!

this is a simple solution, first off, you need power steering to get rid of that relay rod thats in your way. But for now, and the easiest way to stop the rubbin', just flip your shocks upside down.

I went with shorter shocks (9112's) and mounted them to the top of the ubolt plate (5/8 plate).
Mine were denting in when I had the 9012's down on the axle tube.

WHEN I HAD STOCK STEERING THE SHOCKS RUBBED THE ARM THING TOO.........I PUT A LITTLE BEND IN IT TO MOVE IT TOWARDS THE FRAME A LITTLE........NO PROBLEMS AFTER THAT

FYI Dcruiser138: I flipped the front springs when I did a s.o. and I also reversed the shock mounting stud and trimmed the fender like you are talking about, and it was really easy to do. Only took about an hour.
