What do axles sell for out west? i noticed someone is selling a 14bolt, and a d44(3/4 ton) for 1200 with the detroit, and 3.73's.

ive been trying to find a chevy dana 60 front, but htey are selling here in St. Louis for 1500, give or take, hub to hub. ive bought so far 3 sets of 14-bolt/dana 44 for $300(for the pair) wiht 4.10 gears.. these are so easy to find here... but the chevy dana 60 is like finding a needle in a haystack

here in TN - 14 bolts are CHEAP.

We get a LOT of stuff come up for sale on a daily basis... generally a couple of front 60's a month or so...

I bought mine recently, and for far less than $1500 too.

here in cali, for those who know...14 bolts and rear 60's are worth about $100 to $200. Lots of people pay more but at any given time they can be found for cheap. 60 fronts are similar to gold though. I bought my first ford front 60 for $350 3 years ago. Nowadays, they go for about a grand reasonably and up from there. When I see ads for a 60/14 bolt combo for $2000, I laugh since really they're worth about $1200! 44fronts are also dime a dozen parts It's all about supply and demand and what the gullible are willing to pay! I just paid $600 for a complete front chevy 60, but I am willing to wait for the deals and buy them when I see them.:eek:

I got my rear 1 ton eaton for $100 and my front 8 lug 44 for $150 - minus a few parts.

BTW - I'm in TN.

You want to know junkyard axle prices? My front D44 was $150 hub to hub. After rebuilding it and getting histeer and such it cost about 1000-1100.

I bought my Ford D60 fornt for $1000...and I was looking for a deal for quite a while.

For a D44, 14-bolt or rear D60 I don't think I'd pay over $100, and usually you can find them for next to nothing around here

Here in NM a 14 bolt is $350 and a chevy front 60 is about $850 I think. I got a front 6 lug 44 for 150. Now I am needing to buy a 14 bolt and the best price I could find is $275 after I talked the price down.

I just got a ff-60 for a whole $26.95 my springs cost me more than the whole axle.

I won't even tell you what my chevy 60 complete hub to hub cost that I picked up last week.

Lets just say it was cheap. OK less than $600, OK less than $500, well now less than $400? divide by 2 and you will answer this riddle.

Can probably find you one for about $500 if you want to come get it. Give us a month, I know a real junkyard warrior by the name of Skeetshooter.
