I have a 1983 CJ5 that I was about to stretch anyway. My dad has a 1985 CJ7 that he is buying a new tub for. (His old tub has a small amount of rust on it. Nothing that I can't fix.) He says he'll give me his old tub if he wants it. I was thinking I could cut my frame just in front of the rear wheel rise, put his tub on the mounts forward of that point, and make a custom frame in the rear. Are all the body mounts the same for what I'm wanting to do?

You got an easy solution there. Cut the frame at the section in front of the fixed spring mount for the rear axle (at the spot that is "flat" meaning parallel to the length of the Jeep) and add 10 inches. You may have to move / add a body mount in that area but it is an easy stretch job.
