: SOA Front SUA Rear?

I am in the process of fixing up a 4 cyl 89 YJ for my 15 year old daughter, it was in a front end accident and the front 4" springs and tube are history.

I have a spare tube and a bunch of stock YJ springs laying around. My thought was to SOA the front axle and leave the 4" lift springs on the rear.

Questions are:

Will the Jeep sit level?

Will it affect on road driving, as this is a street Jeep rather than a Trail Jeep.

Steering geometry or any other problems I'll run into?

I've seen this done on trail rigs to counter spring wrap on rear axles....just being a cheap bastard and trying to use the sheet I have.

Thanks

It should sit fairly close to the same. I would recommend just coughing up the dough for some 4" springs though. No reason to go through the trouble to soa the front if you aren't going to do the back as well.

It would eliminate axel wrap in the back but i would think the front springs would get to soft and maybe mess up the handleing
go with the lift springs Safer?????

Doug, you need to drive the Taxi. I have 4" leaf springs (should be stiffer than stock springs) SOA on the front of it. I would not put one of my precious girls in it as a daily driver. Just too much body roll and "mooshy" handling.

Spring for some new leaves or pull some off the back of your rolling Pumpkin and SOA it.

Just my $12,236.00. (hmmm never was good with numbers)

Im with Rock taxi on this one. SOA is known for mushy, marginal handling at best, and I wouldnt want one of my daughters driving it until they got a handle on how to drive. Just my .0000000002.
