I learned a lot from it - never knew Iraq had so much nasty chit ten 10 years ago, much less where it is now ...

He burned 'em pretty good with the recordings of the Iraqi soldiers discussing movement of naughty items & the arial photographs.

Anyone care to prognosticate what the UN will do as a reaction to this information?
Maybe a new resolution which says the inspectors can go anywhere unannounced at any time?

Or is it too late & we're gonna smack 'em in less than a week?

War in three weeks is how they will respond.

I'm sticking to my original date of Mar 1.

Basically the U.N. is a toothless paper tiger that only does the
bare minimium, and it only does that when the U.S. drags it
kicking and screaming to that point. It's WAY too late. Iraq has
NO intention of complying now or ever and will probably claim
Powell's information is nothing but lies and propaganda.

The (majority of) people against war have used the tactic of ignoring the key points for war. What made anyone think that this would change those minds? What this did for me was what I thought it would. It showed me that the Administration was not B.S.ing the public and that Iraq is in fact in breach.

Also, why is everyone looking for a smoking gun? Thats what you get AFTER the shot. What we should be looking for, and have found, is a loaded gun, with the safety off.

Very funny. :flipoff2: All you have to do is go by Iraq's track record on this. It's been 12 years with 17, yes count them, 17
U.N. resolutions that Iraq has broken and or disregarded as to
the distruction of their WMD and prohibited materials. Iraq has
done nothing but lie and obstruct for YEARS. Doesn't take a
rocket scientist to realize that they have NO INTENTION of ever
complying.

You know what's kind of ironic? All those against the war who are so worried about Iraqi civilians - the same people whose own gov't is starving to death & executing with regularity. I wonder how many millions of future Iraqis will owe their lives to the men who take Hussein out.

I don't really support most of what the UN advocates. So I can't really condemn Iraq for not following the UN's rules. The UN is a group of New World Order socialists, and that's probably the only context you can use the NWO and not actually be a conspiracy-theory nut.

Bush is using the UN to legitimize our beef with Iraq. Ok that's fine.

I just don't think, with the current awaresness of terrorism, that Iraq will actually hurt *us* first. Their shenanigans will hurt France and Germany before us, and rightly so. Let them learn the hard way.

I think the remaining clueless few against the war are against it due to a deep seated hatred for George Bush. They will never be convinced, they just are still pissed the algore got whupped.:D
