it timed out and then I had to try numerous times to get back on.

The IP address is 170.208.15.2

Here is what you can tell people to do, that can't get in.

If they add this info to their "hosts" file (located in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ ) the site will work immediately:

170.208.15.2 www.pirate4x4.com pirate4x4.com

Save it, and BAM, worky worky.

PS - Open the "hosts" file with Notepad.

Because I am a total computer moron it took me forever to figure out how to do this :confused: Should that first pirate4x4 actually be the link? Maybe thats what I did wrong? Some people(me!) shouldn't mess with these kind of things! :laughing: :roxy:

Hmmm....realizing you may be getting impatient with all this (and hoping my red star $20 got there ok since I sent it during this transition... :) )...Joe said he had no luck. ?

My favorites link worked no prob. I guess dial up isn't so bad after all. :D

At this point I think "some" of my problem is with Mozilla...I can surf to the IP but no pics work....damn and I was just starting to like mozilla too

Yeah, I finally did a whois at netsol and plugged in the authoritative DNS on my machine to get the right IP!

Lance- You could of scraped up some sort of machine with a generic web server to link to the new address until DNS settled down couldn't you, or did you leave on bad terms?

The problem isn't with Mozilla. I was on last night. I run Mozilla on a cable connection through Charter.

I was on the website but could not get into the forums. :mad:

But then my ISP crashed and burned and for some reason they expected me to work! :p

I couln't get in, so I went to High Angle Driveline and clicked the link there then presto. Still super slow until I logged on and now it seems normal. So here I am
