I've got a 61 scout, halfcab. Could a fellow take those cam-lock deals they use to hold the wheels on mountain bikes, thread them for the existing holes, and have quick releases for the top?
I love running around topless, but the 12 bolts make it a PITA to take on and off all the time.
Sound good or am I :smokin: ??

Why not use Dzus fasteners? They are quater turn and would hold better than a mountian bike type cam lock. All race cars use them to hold on body panels.

And be thankful that you don't have a full top....you could blow a nut trying to lift one of those.

full tops aren't that bad. they are just really awkward to lift and move. that is why i get a couple of my buddies over and they help me lift it off and move it. not a big deal. although a full set up of dzus fasterners would make top removale a lot easier. hummm...

I use an air-wrench. :D
It's easier to pull the full tops off the 800s - you can actually get the air-ratchet onto ALL of the bolts ('cept those ones in the windshield). On the SII, you can't even use a ratcheting box-end wrench on the bolts under the quarter glass..
