2 questions for ya'll, I'm Thinking about buying a 89 F250 4x4:
1. What kind of front axle did they come with(didn't appear to be a normal solid axle, but it did have leaf springs, I've never seen an axle like this)
2. How much would you pay (5spd,106k miles, 460 (I think), long bed, std cab, good condition).

with the 460 it could also be the TTB dana 50, some of the 460 trucks got them, all of the 7.3IDI trucks did

Any problems with TTB front ends?

Tire wear and alighnment can cause probs some times...especially when lifted.

But as far as IFS goes it could be worse, and a straight axle it a bolt on swap it you decide to go that route

sounds like a nice truck, i would guess uts worth in the 3-5k range, TTB sucks when its lifted, but if this is just a tow rig, you will love it (keep it stock hieght)

Yeah, they are asking 5k. So it sounds like they are a little on the high side for that truck. Good info, thanks for the help!

Not all 7.3 came with the 50. My 89 had the 44, also a friend of the family has a 90 w/7.3 and it also has the 44.
