: It's nice to be back
Erich In AZ 02-10-2003, 07:31 AM Well, it's nice to be back to work so I can relax after a hell of a weekend!
Went wheeling on a 3.0 rated trail Saturday and in our group we managed to break a u-joint, crush a door, break a frame, blow a hub and flop a rig on it's side. Damn!
Then yesterday we met up with a Forest Ranger and went out to scout some abandoned vehicles they need removed from one of the areas, and the ranger almost rolled his truck down a hill. It took my 'burb with a strap, and a bronco with a winch to keep him from going for a ride.
Damn I'm glad I finally get to rest!
Anyone else come back to work to rest?
:D
every weekend is more mork for me then school and my job are during the week.
Monday is the begining of my 5 day vacation for working on 5 differnet rigs in once weekend

Motornoggin 02-10-2003, 09:19 AM I'm with MD. Work is a four letter word!
We went up to my sister-in-laws this weekend. Not too much work but her husband just bought a '99 YZ 250 (for $1000). We rode that yesterday but my leg is killing me cause the thing needs a tune up and won't idle. That would be fine if it would start right up again, but nooooooooo. Is has to make us kick about 30 times, pass it over to someone else, and start right up for them. I swore I heard it laughing! So today, the arch of my foot aches, and my leg is a little sore. But it was worth it!

OK, try not to laugh....
Chiva Falls!
Then, the Park Ranger incedent was in the Bull Springs area near Patagonia.

Quite familiar with both areas. There is one road into Chiva that at times can be a little challenging, its the Italian Trap/Ranch trail, is that the one you took. I've also seen the crack right off Reddington Rd. cause folks problems, first time I ran it near 20 years ago, my left front tire slipped down in the crack and gave us a little thrill.:D
Erich In AZ 02-10-2003, 10:08 AM The runner got laid over in the crack, but that was minor.

The actual real flop took place all the way back at the falls in the little paths that wind around there. It get's a bit tippy back there in places. The guy that flopped was cool as hell about it, and didn't ruin the rest of the trip for us. We got him back on his wheels and drove it out. Damage was somewhat minimal with exception of his roof.

Erich In AZ 02-10-2003, 10:13 AM The Rangers truck doesn;t look very bad here, but that hill gets pretty steep in a hurry and there is nothing there to slow you down once you are going. He was a little over halfway over the side, and the truck was slipping. Having that quad in the back wasn't helping it be any less tippy.
