what gearing are you guys running with your 38s and 40s.
What gears would you recomend for my eb, stock302 -np435
I will drive on the road to get to trail so I would like to go at least 60ish+ on the freeway without:nuke:

4.88-5.13 is good.
For a 302 I would go for the 5.13 since they like RPM's so you might as well get the better ones to crawl with and if you go with 40's you are better off. The problem with 5.13's is they arn't cheep.

go as low as you can get for the axle. i ran 5.13 with a 6 banger and 35s. now im running 5.13 with 37s and a 350/350. be real your gonna keep getting bigger and bigger tires and your gona want lower and lower crawl ratios so just go as low as you can

I have a EB D44 with 5.13's (installed last year new, with 8 days of wheeling on them), ARB locker (new hose and air valve pieces), and 5-297 axles. The knuckles are already reamed from the top for the beefy GM tierod ends, and the axle trac bar mount has been moved up to keep the trac bar and tierod parallel. New ball joints were installed 2 years ago when I bought the frontend from Tom's for my 70 EB. Knuckle to knuckle; I paid $1650, but I'm selling it for $1000.

Let me know if your interested.

I might sell the D44 5.13 R&P seperately for $100.

Ill agree with that...do as low as you can. You always have 4HI.

Remember with 60's you can go as low as 7.17, with 38's and 4,500 rpm, you can drive at 70 mph :D
