bobaki 11-08-2001, 07:42 PM rudesan musent advertize stuff you not having in car :D I forgive this one time:D.........looking foward to report. did you get gears or complete?
Cavegunner 11-08-2001, 08:31 PM I'm just gonna run the stock Toyota T-case gears for now. I live in Florida and there isn't much of anything for rock crawling around here so we just go anywhere we can and have as much fun as possible. I was having problems breaking the stock Sammy drive shafts and U -Joints. I figured the axles were next. So with all the Toyota drive train I figured I should be fine. I have a friend running 38's and a 350 on his Toyota drivetrain and even with welded gears in the back he still hasn't broke the stuff! Thanks for the comments. I'll get those pics out in probably a week as I'm in the military and have to leave for about a week. Take care all!

I thought the Toy axles were equal to a 44. But they have better ground clearance. I think if I had the time over, I would have gone Toy. I like my Waggy axles, but ground clearance is supperior!!!!!!!!!

so what is the difference in clearance between the toy's and the waggy dana44's? i know you can take a grinder to the bottom lip of the 44 for about 1/2" more clearance. i like the wag d44's because of the width not to mention the lack of b/fields. where i'm from waggy's can be had easier and cheaper than toys too. just my op.
fatkid 11-11-2001, 10:32 PM Width would be the only reason to do with a 44. How many Birfs have you broke on your CJ5?

ha ha! we all know the d44 u-joint is a bit weaker than the toy birfield. i do believe the toy b/field is plenty strong for a light weight sami though. the width and the offset rear end is the main reason i like the waggys. as for breaking birfs, no i got a 60 :)
