This is what I drained out of the auto tranny on my jeep. Doesn't that pink color mean that there is water in it?
I just drained it all out of the pan and then refilled it with new stuff. Should i be fine or should i have someone flush the whole system?
Would this also cause the tranny to overheat and spit the fluid out?

Thanks in advance

What's in your ATF? ATF+H2O+ trans heat= boilover of wet ATF.

Your trans runs in the 200-225F range and water boils at 212F

Be careful with that kind of thing, I have a friend whose auto tranny got water in it fording a river, then when he was going fast later the water boiled and spit out tranny fluid onto his exhaust manifolt (out the fill pipe) and the fluid ignited, and his engine compartment caught fire and the truck burst into flame. He could have been killed, and the rig was totally ruined.

Flush it and check the coolant for ATF in it if your running a factory in the radiator cooler. Sometimes they will bust a line in the radiator and contaminate both.

Is there special tools that you need to completely flush the tranny or can i do it my self? I do need to get the fluid out of the torque converter right?

Thanks for the info
