He's probably smiling because it's not his truck.

I have seen the results of that several times, all though never seen it actually happen.

A guy I work with hooked a rope (shorter than the tree) to his tj his son was cutting, he was pulling.

The object was not to hit the neighbor's house.

At the last minute he realized that he was going to pull it on to his jeep, so he pushed in the clutch, and let the tree go over on the neighbor's house.

The whole time the nieghbor was protesting, and telling him what was going to happen. (The guy I work with is a Licenced Engineer too)

I used to be a Forest Service sawyer and had to go cut out several trucks that that happened to.

One time the guy did it on purpose thinking it would be the easy way to load the truck.:D
