Always make sure, if you are doing a recovery, that the person who has come and asked for your help has their keys with them when you go out to their rig. :D
A local guy came round to see me the otherday, to pull his Holden Rodeo off the beach. (The rodeo is a pickup much the same as the toyota, but lower) seems he wanted to drive along the beach with some friends....... We drove out to where he was stuck(about 20 miles away) and he was down to the chassis, on the beach, below the high water mark (and he told me there was no hurry  ) When he goes to open the Rodeo door he goes bright red and says" I forgot the keys" So leaving him there with his mate and 2 recovery shovels, his mates girlfriend and I drive back to town to get his keys, by the time we got back it was dark. Hooked the cable on and pulled him straight out.
Had to have good chuckle at it though :D
