Always make sure, if you are doing a recovery, that the person who has come and asked for your help has their keys with them when you go out to their rig. :mad: :D
A local guy came round to see me the otherday, to pull his Holden Rodeo off the beach. (The rodeo is a pickup much the same as the toyota, but lower) seems he wanted to drive along the beach with some friends....... We drove out to where he was stuck(about 20 miles away) and he was down to the chassis, on the beach, below the high water mark (and he told me there was no hurry :rolleyes: ) When he goes to open the Rodeo door he goes bright red and says" I forgot the keys" So leaving him there with his mate and 2 recovery shovels, his mates girlfriend and I drive back to town to get his keys, by the time we got back it was dark. Hooked the cable on and pulled him straight out.
Had to have good chuckle at it though :D

My little brother did that too me a while back. Stuck in the mud, 2:30 in the morning and "oops I left me keys one the counter at your house" :mad: Needless to say his truck sat there till morning

My keys always fall out of the ignition. Once out on the trail I reached out to shut off the engine and to my surprise there was no key! :eek:
I had to get creative to shut off the engine.

I have a new key now , it's got a leash tied to it :D

I was wondering why it took you so long to get back to the beach.....did it have something to do with the mates girlfriend!;)

my keys fall out to luckily i can shut it off though and even start it if i dont click it all the way.

I called up another friend and got him to bring his Nissan Patrol trayback out for a run, had to wait for him. All in all it was a fun evenings wheeling, got to see some beautiful coastline and got paid $100 for pulling him out :D

Sometimes lifes little diversions turn out to be a blast. Always fun when ya get to go wheelin.:skull:
