What kind of discs are you using? If you are using Toyota mini truck front discs, and small GM rear calipers, or Toyota rear calipers, then the 72 master cylinder and booster will work great.
If you are using Large GM front, and small GM rear, then the 72 master and booster will still work great!
But, if you are using large GM front and Large GM or Ford rear calipers, then you will need to step up and run a larger Master cyclinder.

what is the technical definition of large and small?
I have ford bronco calipers in front and lincoln mark5 calipers in back. will this setup work happily?

GM trucks are large, GM cars such as Monte Carle, Caddy are mid size, Cars in the 80s such as Citations, and smaller are small.
Anything out of a Lincoln is gonna be a large, and bronco probably large.
You will most likely need a bigger master cyclinder set up.

Large GM-------GM trucks and blazers 71-77
Mid GM-------------- 73-76 Chevelle, 70-76Camero, Firebird, 76-78 El Dorado
Small GM------------78-83 Monte Carlo, 79-85 El Dorado, Rivirera, Toronado

guys, no offense but he was asking for recomendations, Kenworth, Supra, Toy truck.....you get the picture.....good info though. joker, i know it has been said before but did you do a search for master cylinders or power brakes, sometimes that works and then sometimes the "guru's" (not me) have to "send down the tablets". good luck bro

I just put a 8" dual diaphram power / master setup from an after market supplier called M.P. Brakes. Nice looking setup with a dual resivoir. I had an 1982 FJ-60 power/master setup on before this and it wasn't cutting it. I have the mini truck front discs with the e-brake Eldorado calipers in back. With the new P/M it stops alot better but still not what I was hoping for. I have all new parts calipers, pads, brakelines, porpotioning valve. Begining to wonder if my 3/16" brakelines are to small to deliver the amount of fluid the calipers need. Anybody have any suggestions? One nice feature to using the 8" dual diaphram P/M is I didn't have to move my clutch master cylinder. In fact I have about a 1/2" of clearence between them.
