He is placing a Ford Coil setup on his Jeep. Nice long articles on what's he is doing also.
One note, Ford started with High Pinion axles in 69! Do the research, look for facts not hear say. You want a 73-77 axle not the 78 & 79 axles that are easy to find. They have a different brackets and thinner tubes. I picture if you need, send me an E-mail.

Actually it is a1980 axle from a Bronco. I read a while back that there was a couple people that had done it and had Ford Part Numbers to boot for the front Upper Coil bracket.... I tried the search forum but did not catch anything that was benificial...
Anyone have that page or any linksto help out with a couple ideas?
i ran a 79 ford bronco d44 axle in the front of my yj before i swapped the d60 in. its around 65 inches wide, has the 5 on 5.5 lug pattern. its also reverse cut. i welded perches onto the axle, but i bet its pretty easy to swap the coils on. i debated doing it but didnt. all ya need is the control arms, drop brackets, and coil byckets and it should work. the frames are pretty close in width but yah will prolly need to redrill the holes in the lower coil bucket to get it right.

Are ya sure it's an 80? we are talking solid axle dana 44..right? tell me your not trying to install a TTB? I ask cuz the 80 and later broncos only had the dana 44 TTB, no solid front axles,. That was only 78&79 (well yes and all EB's)
