: Fellow wheeler has passed
PUREINSANITY 11-10-2001, 08:19 AM This is prob the hardest post I have ever had to make, (so please try to stay w/ me, it may be a bit confusing.)
I am not sure how many at POR knew him, but he was registered here as AJDYK. At ColoradoK5 he was known as Bandit. AJ was a good friend to me and many of us at CK5.
AJ was killed in an accident a few nites ago. I am not sure of the details of what happened, all I know is that he was on his way back to college, after driving home for the evening and he was hit head on with a semi. His funeral is today at 11:00. (Saturday Nov 10) in WA. State.
AJ was 19 and an avid wheeler.
There are several posts at CK5 about AJ in the non 4x4 issues forum, and in the main forum (73-91 K5) Check there if you knew AJ and would like more details.
I just thought I would let everyone at POR know.

rockinsother 11-10-2001, 03:18 PM sorry for the loss of your friend.........and for his family too.......think it's most hard when it is a younger person than one with a few extra miles logged in on life..............hope you are able to cope and thoughts and prayers go out to you..........:(
PUREINSANITY 11-10-2001, 07:48 PM It is especially hard to lose a younger person. I only wish he could have gone while on the trails where he was happy, instead of on the road.
I will be OK, thanx for the thots tho. I had a hard time dealing w/ it at first, but I make it a point not to question God's judgement. There is a reason He took AJ, and its not my place to ask why.
