I am putting in a new painless kit in my 1965 FJ45. I am all done with exception to my turn signals. I can not read my tec manual due to the fine print. I need to know what the 6 wires go to coming out of the turn signal switch. If you can tell me what color and stripe goes where I will buy you:beer:

Thanks for any help!:usa:

Jimmy,

I like the kit. I ordered the one with the fuel pump relay built in. That kit came with a lot of things that I do not need like power windows etc. It is a pain in the ass in a way with all of the extra stuff but I had a AC compressor wire that is now the ABR circut. If I did it again, I would go with the smaller kit and just wire the extra stuff. It seems like good quality. When I test the circuts they all work! Plan on more time than you think and order a box of split loom from your local napa. It runs about $12.00 for 50 feet and then they are all protected.

Good luck

Call their tech support. They are a pretty good. I had trouble with the labeling on my kit as well. I was using a signal stat turn signal switch and it was a bit of a hassle to get it working.

Overall it took a lot longer than I had expected. My dad is a elec engineer and taught electronics in the navy. I don't know if it took so long because we took so long or it if just takes a while. You know what I mean?

looking at my haynes book, for a pre-72 40 the turn signal uses two green with yellow tracers for right side signals(one front, one rear), two green with orange traces for left signals(one front, one rear), one green with white tracer to stop lamp swtich, and last should be soldi green with is power. I think it should be the same on a '65 fj45, but not certain.
