Some of the later Dodge Trucks had a 32 spline 70 in them

Not according to Tractech - they list 91-96 as a straight 70 with 32 splines. They do list various 70U's for GM and Ford, but not Dodge. Dodge did have an oddball 70-2UA but no aftermarket parts are available for it.

Some F250s over here came with a 23 spline 1.5" axle in the dana 70 rears.

This is non 4wd and non dually. The dually has 35spline!

This is interesting. So all dually 70s will most likely be 35 spline.

Actually I believe it depends on the year. I think the '74 and older are 23 spline, the '75-up are 35 spline.

FOR A FACT, i don't know what year though...i got it out of the boneyard.

It was a Ford 1970's, Dually...Flatbed f-250 maybe 350?, 2WD. 23 spline 1.5 inch Dana 70

I don't think the spline count MATTERS as much as shaft OD, of course the finer the splines the better, but a 1.5 inch 23 spline shaft will be pretty strong.
