I checked at Big-O-Tire today.. The 37-12.50-17 Krawlers are around 400 a piece! Just like the 37" MTR was.. Hopefully they will come down a bit:eek: But damn it would be nice to have a set.

Do you happen to know if they're going to make a 37 -12.5 / 15? I'd love to try 'em out, but don't want to spring for new rims too.

They are going to make a 35 for a 15" rim. I haven't heard anything about a 37 for a 15 though. I'm sure the price will come down soon, or once something better comes out.:D

Screw the 35's. I already run 36's, who wants to downgrade? ;)

The Krawlers run bigger than most tires. The set of 37s I have seen were bigger than 38 swampers. So the 35s will probably actually be bigger than what you have now.

I got a price of $398 for a 37" Krawler this week. That's just too much bling-bling $$$$$.

Anybody heard a price on the 35" Krawler?

Anybody got any dimesions to compare a 35" MTR with the 35" Krawler? How about the 35" Krawler compared to a 36" SX?

Now this is information that I would like to have also!

I don;t know if it's accurate, but BFG has the Krawler spec PDF out of their website, and the 35" say they measure 35"

37" Krawlers don't run big, 38 Swampers run small. Little trivia here, the tire now known as the 38X12.50 TSL is the EXACT same tire Interco once called a 37X13. True diameter is 36.0 for the 15" version, about 36.75" for the 16.5.

Never thought that I would see the day that Super Swamper was the cheaper option. WOW, times have changed. For four hundred a tire, I will stick with the SSs. The Krawler do LOOK cool though.

If the 35" krawlers run 35" tall i would probably be interested... keep me in the stock class for competitions, but decrease stress on my 44 front end... my 38.5" SX's only measure out to be a little of 36.5" tall at 10 PSi...

Why does BFG have two stock #'s for 37's? They look identical otherwise

Those would look tight with my funk master flex driving shoes

I believe the price will come down like the MTR's did. Depends on what type of driving you do. Any mud w/ MTR's and you're stuck that is their weakness, And of course I'm very prejudiced(I think that's right) The Krawler is by far the best tire I have ever ran over the 20+ years I've been wheeling.

Krawlers are the bomb-diggity.. ;).. I'll run my crappy ssrs until I can buy a set.. maybe I'll buy one at a time lmfao.. I seen them on independence trail at the end of the Ultimate Adventure Tour.. They worked extremely well and are super sexy.. 17" wheels aren't any more than steel wheels so that helps too..

Don't pay shipping unless they have them in stock or they ship them free. I had to pay 75 to have 33 inch MTRs shipped from Indiana.

I just put a 37" Krawler on the scale, and it weighed 66lbs. This was a competition compound, 75% treadwear tire, so that 79lbs sounds pretty accurate for a new one.

The 35" Krawlers didn't seem any taller than a normal 35, but they are wide!!! Mounted on a 10 rim, they were as wide as a 38x15.5 16.5 swamper radial:eek:

The hieght wasn't very judgable, cause the only thing to compare was a set of 37" Krawlers, and the 38" swampers.

One thing I do have to say about the 35's is the lugs look 10 times better than some of the 37's I have seen, so hopefully the production 37's are the same.

Does anyone know the weights for 36"x12.50" & 38"x14.50" SX`s?
i had a set of 36" SX`s on my old rig...i never weighed them but they are heavy..im guessing around 125# mounted on a steel wheel.

1600.00 for four tires....? I just never imagined it.

Can you hear my ass whistling from being to tight? Fuque that, the price alone makes me want to stick with Interco.

Guaaaaaroooonteed that those tires will be 175.00 in a year and a half or out of production due to a lack of volume.:)

down at St. George UROC there was a Jeep with a set of the 35 Krawlers sitting right next to a Jeep with a set of 36 SXs and the 35s were noticeably(sp?) taller...FWIW

OK, now for the mall crusier question. Any idea on tread life for the production Krawler's? And yes it is for my soon to be mall cruiser TJ... building a '84 Toyota with V8, 42's, etc and all the goodies for the extreme stuff.

Shupee posted about this in another thread and said they have been running some crawlers on an S-10 for a while now and you should expect compareable tread life as a MT...

Demand surpasing supply? How can that be, they aren't even delivering them yet? Most everyone that has them now got them for competition, or direct from BFG. And how many people are really lineing up to buy them?Have you put money down on a set? It seems the word around here is way too pricey for now.

The set on Ebay currently has 29 bids and is at $1175.00, the reserve hasn't been meet, a far cry from the $400.00 a piece they want at a retail store. So is the demand really there at $400.00 per?

Why don't you jump off the band wagon :flipoff2: quite your gay ass "I'm the smartest economist around" bullshit and take another pull of the ol' pringles can :rainbow: and wait and see what happens like the rest of us :D

But - I do agree that they willl not disappear anytime soon. They are gonna be the shiznit until something better come along. Which could happen this comp season who knows?????

do you all think that people will be buying these instead of sx's or any other weekend warrior tire?
Im just wondering if they are better performing than an sx or its just like a mtr where people run them because they are sponsered by them.

from what I have seen (judge at UROC) I think the krawlers are a better tire overall...they seem to do better than any other tire there...I was however impressed by the new maxxis tires but they are only a 35" tire I believe...:D

I guess what I am saying is when the price of these become comparable to the others I think these tires will be the ultimate tire to have for rocks and trail riding...don't know about mud but I think the swampers will still remain dominant there...

thats what i was wondering.
and since they seems to run bigger than a sx you will be able to run a smaller size with the height.

I wonder if they realize if people are waiting for the price to go down before they buy them.
