Ha.. ha...
No..
Just trying to raise awareness of the Lan Use Fight in Texas that would Ban Wheelers from the only public land left.

That's right.. Texas public land will be off-limits to wheeling if these bills pass.

Print em up..lets do it

for those who don't know the point, supporters of the bill closing down the rivers (in the case a canoers asociation) are sending out the following postcards:
The Texas Rivers Protection Association has purchased 5000 postcards
for
people who are interested in protecting rivers from destructive
behavior to
send to their legislators.

On the front there is a picture of three off-road vehicles driving
upstream
in the middle of a Hill Country river. There are a number of tracks
in the
river caused by off-road vehicles, and the vehicles in the picture
are
leaving mud contrails.

In red are the words "Motor Vehicles Damage Streams". As they say,
one
picture is worth a thousand words. Any child can see that vehicles
damage
streams.

On the back are these words:

Protect Texas Rivers
Please support SB155/HB305
Important legislation
banning motor vehicles in
state owned streambeds.)

No it has not. People think that because of the way a bill is worded. EVERY bill up for debate before the legislature begins "A bill to be entitled......."

Chister, add this text from the 1st lady:

Bush says the best private time she and her husband spend is at their ranch in Crawford, Texas.
“We like to go for rides at our ranch, before dinner,” she said. “He’s a windshield cowboy, as he says, which means he drives a pickup. We drive down into the bottoms of the creekbeds and the riverbeds. And we do that nearly every time we’re there, nearly every day.”

well hot damn. I thought it passed, I didn't know that what was posted was just the Bill up for debate.

I think it also needs to be explained how since most of the people who act stupid on the rivers, will have to go someplace else to wheel when the rivers get shut down, which means they'll go into MORE private land.

Here is a photo of the President with the lady that wants to stop river access by vehicles. There may be federal ways to beat this or make it where if they say no vehicles it means the landowners vehicles may be kept out also. If we could find something befor it went into law they might back off some and talk compromise.
