Don't know that number but I do know its enough to drag a lead line several hundred feet through medium diameter conduit so I could pull wire all day.

:D

Glad I could help

Umm, if you're in engineering, isn't it your fawking job to figure it out? Quit trying to get us to do your work, ya lazy fawker!:flipoff2:

OK, I don't have a CRC or a thermodynamic table here, but I can give you some hints.

Carbon has an atomic mass of 12
Oxygen 16*2=32

32+12=44
12/44=0.27moles of carbon dioxide in 12 grams. It will expand to occupy 6.13 litres at STP.

As I don't know the pressure, nor the amount of energy released when changing states, that's all I can give you here. Look in a physical chemistry text as this is a classic example used to illustrate the Joule-Thompson effect.

Peace,
Paul

Uggh....PChem is the devil...

Don't know either, my book is at home

Eggsactly! PChem (well, actually the math pre-req) is why it took me nine years to finish my chemistry degree.

Peace,
