My leafs suck. I know they are tired and are sagging pretty well. I can clear my stock michelins but want to get some new suspension setup. I know its not gonna be cheap but what should I look at for something under maybe $300 that will last me a bit? If I CAN go cheaper what else shoudl I look for as well. New shackles? add a leaf? Im going to get 31's soon so I would want like 3" of clearance on top of what I have now. thanks

If you wanna just clear 31's, just put a body lift on and then go cruise the mall with the local JU gang :D :flipoff2:
If you want a real suspension that will clear some real tires, go SOA, or even a Rubicon Express 4.5" lift to get you started.

Thanks for the honest reponse from maybe one of you guys. I want the RE 4.5" Lift but All together im looking at about $1000. The sympathy boat pulls in and plays a sweet sweet song for me but tough shit i guess, so im looking for the alternative. A body lift is about as :rainbow: as richard simmons. Gotta start somewhere, if you guys are the "TECH" guys and JU are the picture posters then I guess you better get ready for some more stupid questions! :flipoff2:
For $300 you can easily find a set of near-new YJ 2" lift springs. Most likely with bushings. I've got a set in my garage. Wanna buy 'em?
You can probably find a set of 4" lift springs as well, though it will be a bit tougher, unless you want Pro-Comps.
With the 2" springs, you shouldn't need the "install kit" that most 'kits' will come with.

You might also want to consider that a 4.5" RE kit is complete unlike the others.
It includes the following:
4 shocks valved specifically for our springs
full stainless steel extended brake lines
drop pitman arm
u-bolts front and rear
degree shims
extended greasable shackles (front and rear)
poly bushings
transfer case lowering kit
track-bar relocation bracket
sway bar disconnects
If you had to buy all of this stuff separately with a cheap Superlift kit it would cost the same amount and not be as high of quality.
Superlift kit ($350)includes:
4 springs with busings
4 shocks
U-bolts
and you still have to buy the pitman arm and brake lines at a minimum.
