about to drive to school, turn key and click, and i knew it was the starter. Anyhow, haven't gotten home yet but any tips on removing/reinstalling it, i can tell its gonna be a PITA since i don't have a body lift..thanks in advance

Its really easy, my arms are huge and I did it (shameless self plug:flipoff2: ) You have to do half from on top and half from on bottom, expect to switch a lot, its like an hour job if you've never ever done it... at most. IMO its a solenoid problem, the same problem that I had with my 22R was the contacts being nonexistent, so instead of getting a new starter/noid for more money, you can usually get just new contacts for like.... 5$, depending on how good your junkyard skills are.
I'll look around to find the writeup someone did, most likely someone else will beat me to it.

He sells contacts I think too, dont bother, they're neat, but you can go to a starter repair shop or whatever, and they'll have em, or you can order the rebuild thing.
I fixed mine for free. I just used washers to space out a part of the contact that wasnt worn out, and it was fine for 5 months... until it got ganked, and then it probably started up fine too!!

thanks for the help, my friend's dad works at autozone so i went ahead and just got a rebuilt one...now i got to get a battery..damn cheap pieces of crap, gonna go optima now..

well the battery is 6 month old (turned out it was ok), alt is good, and at autozone we tested it and it had a bad selinoid
