and should they be manifold, ported, hot, cold, or always on?

Hey, I don't know the answer to your ?, but PM a guy on here that goes by Meyer. He knows those things inside out.

I think the part on the front is the Altitude compensator...as I dont have one on my 2100, and the 2150 (in later models) did have it.that would be my best guess. http://home.earthlink.net/~bubbaf250/2150carb/carb01.html
