OK here is my take:

Nolan was a piece of shit. I'll score 20 gawd damn goals a year shooting them out of my ass for $6.5 million per.

I cheered almost as loud when i heard that drunk fawk was gone as I will when we win the Cup. His best years were only in contract years.

A few games after we got him from Colorado (who stole thier team from the Quebecers) he went off for 4 goals. So what? you might ask? He'll cool off for Pat Quinn and he'll cite his "bad" back and sit in the hot tub during a fan appreciation day like he did here.

As far as Damphouse and Teemu being on the block: I think Vinnie will get delt, but its no secret that Temmu and Owen "The Drunken" Nolan didn't get along. Teemu might stay, as his best years were under Ron Wilson and it will begin to be Wilson's team next year when he can revamp the roster.

Marchment is a playoff rental. He is a UFA in 4 months, glad we got something for him. We wouldn't resign him (and no one will give him) $3 million per next year, so I'm fine with that especailly with our D-core looking like this:

Nabokov needs to get back to form and the Teemu/Marleau/Sturm line needs to get its ass back into gear.

Next year we'll be in the playoffs, but last year was the last shot for that team. It was a fun run, but the future still looks pretty bright.

I'm sure you will be back! Just sucks that Los Tibarones had to go through this! Anyway, as far as Colorado stealing the Nordiques, them Q-folks are damned near FRENCH, and that's more like the "spoils of war" than theft. It doesn't look real promising for the Av's overtaking the Canucks this season, which is also too bad - they're tied right now for the most consecutive division championships. But playoff hockey is coming back to Colorado!

I like the Ducks, they are doing it on the cheap and have been playing thier arse off for the past few months. Not to be a dick, but the ducks have been fighting to keep it up for so long, I'm worried they won't have much left when its time to dance for Lord Stanley's punch bowl.
