wtf is a broiler?

What do you need starting fluid for. I thought that's only used to start old tractors and reset beads on the wheel.

Ummm...........Isn't that just a storage area? Broil just changes the heating element from the bottom of the oven to the top right?

I always have to use the broiler to finish cooking frozen pizzas. Seems the damn things are never done on the top when the bottom is about to burn so I turn it over to broil for the last 3-4 minutes of cooking and it comes out just right.

set fires in mine all the time :) damn thing is practilly on the floor, and if I don't sit on the floor and watch, the garlic bread is always in flames, just like mom's :D We don't have a toaster so we use it for that too.

Now I leave all the cooking to Big Joe :flipoff2: I'm the cleanup crew. No fire hazard there

My mom almost cooked our cat in a broiler. She opened it up, looked away, the cat smelled warm steak, and snuck in unnoticed.
Someone heard noise from the oven, opened it, and out comes a cat with many singed hairs. Smelled funny for weeks.

IT's your oven on high with with a double pan in it to drain the grease off the meat .

I'm pretty sure it's a misdemeanor in Texas to use a broiler, I'm already walking a fine line with a *propane* grill! :flipoff2:

In this great state we cook meat *outside*, period! :)

I thought it was on the oven there is a pull out on the bottom that is like a drawer. That is my broiler. Dunno what the rest of you have? I never use it. My kitchen is extremely small with limited storage so I use what I can to put stuff away....

Not a misdemeanor. It's a felony.

I use mine all the time to cook steaks. It is the type that is in the top of the regular oven. Makes a fawking mess out of the oven, and sets off the smoke alarm on a regular basis.
