np435 to a np205 in a Early Bronco. from what I gather you need to move the crossmember back about 2 inches. Was hoping my fellow ford gurus could help. Going to be doing this in a few days.
any pics would be welcomed. I searched for an hour and could not find any pics to see how the mount is. I was told since the 205 is being used I had to fab a member up.
any help will be better than no help.

I went through all this a while back...
I emailed all the bronco shops and many people... basically what I got is you have to fab your own. I never got to that point. I would have, but the fucker that sold the the tranny and xfer didnt tell me they were gernaded on the inside...
it can be as simple as using c channel, and as extravogant as using tube bent to contour and not hang down as low. of you have any fab skills at all this shouldnt be too hard. I thought it would be, but if you can weld you should be ok.
I dont think I have any pics though. this was months ago when I asked...
if you havent already go to classicbroncos and ask there also, I know for a fact several people have done it over there...

Thanks,

Hate to hear about the gernaded tcase. I would have been pissed. I have a friend that is going to help me with this.
If one had all the tools and metal and drivetrain ready to go in.
How long would one alot to take out the old 3 speed and put in new (old) 435-205 with new clutch and pressure plate. oh and resurface flywheel. could one do this in a couple of evenings?

I would figure one evening to remove and clean and inspect fly wheel and other parts. Then one evening to install new tranny and t-case and one to make the mount. It would be easyest to just use C-chanel but if you have the time and tools go for the tube set up. I will try and find a shot of mine although it is for a 4500 to atlas 4.3

Thats sweet lookin. Lots of protection.
More than likely I want be able to be that crafty using tube.
My buddy has a tube bender, I may check with him to see how what he thinks.

Mine's dirt simple.pic (http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/killahoesrk1/vwp?.dir=/bronco&.src=ph&.dnm=bronco+front+driveshaft+007.jpg&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/killahoesrk1/lst%3f%26.dir=/bronco%26.src=ph%26.view=t)
Next one will be a bolt on, so I don't have to cut it off every time I change a tranny/engine or whatever to the drivetrain.
Oh-well it works.
