This may seem to be a dumb question, but I'm Scout stupid.
So it's a familiar story. Man owes me money. Man has no money.
Man has old 4x4 in yard. So in a couple days I have another old 4x4 in my yard, and no money.
I haven't seen it yet.
So my stupid question is this:
What would the likely components be in a 1976 Scout II with a factory 345 V8, auto I think. gear ratios? t-case? D44's? center rear diff? pass side front diff? axle width wms to wms?

Thanks for your time

I drug home a 76 Scout II and it had, 345, 727, single speed t-case, d44's 3.07 gears. And lots of rust - plus all the optional bells and whistles you could order at the time.

I think the widths are Front 60.75" wms to wms and rear is 58.5" wms to wms....

Well I went and checked it out. Turns out it has a 4spd.
Is there any visible differences between a 304 and a 345. Couldn't find any tags or markings to tell me if it is a 304 or 345

thanks
