Anyone running a 4" lift and a DPA? I was looking at a new lift and they were saying I needed one of these. I already have the 4": lift with the stock
arm and haven't had any problems. Any suggestions would be great.

TIA

ITs not manditory that you get one but It will fix the steering geometry and fix any bump steer you may incounter without it..

Personally I say get one. Less wear and tear on your steering components.

I scored one of those adjustable tracbar's in a parts trade. I just use it and the stock pitman arm. I've got at least 4" of lift in the front.

How is an adjustable trackbar going to help with steering angles?

don't put it on. Maybe tornadoTJ (Robbie) will post the many reasons why not....I took his advice and now would never run one. Around here stock pitmans are worth more than dropped ones cuz people don't listen and after they change 'em, they throw the stock ones away and then find out how wrong that was.... <IMG SRC="smilies/csmile.gif" border="0">

well I was expecting Robbie to answer this, but he's hanging out on the cowtown forum...it's something to do with the angle of the draglink when the axle cycles...I think...can't really remember the details but stock does work better. Many companies such as Rubicon Express also recommend that you keep the stock arm. All I know for sure is stock is better in this case.
BTW, if you just have to try a dropped arm, I got a Skyjacker dropped one I'll let go real cheap, i'll keep my stock one on.

If Rubicon Exprese doesn't recomend a drop pitman arm then why do they send one with there 4.5 Extreme kits?
