: CJ leaning up front

I have been trying to figure out why my CJ is leaning to one side for months now. Originaly, I thought it was one of the Trailmaster springs that had taken a set on one side. I repaced them with new Skyjacker soft rides. It is still leaning on one side. The frame and spring hangers look great. Any one have any ideas on what is causing this. It looks like s&*t and I would like to solve the problem.

I see you've got a glass body.

Could be a tweeked frame, or uneven mounts.

Lesse a pic.

The frame looks good but I don't know how I could check it other that taking it to a frame shop. At the shackle hanger the bumper sits 1/2" lower on the L/H side.

Here is what is brand new
- Shakle hangers
- springs & bushings
- shakles
- motor mounts (MORE)

forget about trying to get the thing to sit level. A friend of mine tried everything to get his 5 to sit level to no avail. Mine won't sit level either. Every cj-5 that I have ever been around sits at a slant

How much do you weigh?
:p
Just kidding ...
:)
If they are SkyJacker "soft rides" ... then there is you answer.
"Soft" = Sag.
Heavy V-8?
Big wench?
I don't know 'ecpt I was in the same boat with a huge rake in front with the 'Jackers .... had to get a used set of National12 leaves to fix it.
I'm going to try the front 'rake' springs on another chassis but this time with an 'add a leafs' in front cuz the rake is a drag ... but it would be OK if i was drag rac'in ...

That's pretty typical of a CJ. Just get used to it.

Jaffer,
Wouldn't the big wench make the passenger side sit low? Oh, you meant winch!!:p

I think they all lean to one side. I've tried a couple different spring sets, spring hanger's and bushings. A friend of mine even added extra springs to one side to try and even his out. The only reason mine sits level now is that it's on jackstands.

Guess I will just have to live with it then. I am going to switch my winch to a Warn 8274, hopfully the added weight on the passenger side will make it a little less noticable. Maybe I can also pick up a new wench with a little extra weight. Winter is coming up you know, the extra heat would be good too.

Thanks for the info guys.
