This is a work in progress done in 3D so tube frameing can be added. The motor mounts have been modified and not all members are in yet. not all members will be added. For those of youi that know how to use autoCad this is in version 14. Please have fun with it and please post any modafications you do to the drawing. I like to see others ideas. I will be updating this on ocation. right now this is just the frame but hope to add the body in 3d as well as drive train
Good luck with it Steve

DWG file has been updated again. tonight. Keep coming back to get the latest update. I plan on getting to work on the body and drive train next. These will be alot of work. If anybody want to help, I would love any help i can get. Body and drive train will be done one component or panel at a time in 3D. How ever any 2D drawings that can give me corectly mesured detail to save me time out musuring would be apriciated also. I plan on drawing for Toy axles, 4.3L vortec motor, 700R4 trans, and 208 and or toy tranfer case. Let me know if you wana help with a component or panel. I will probably be starting with the firewall and rear axle next. Tanx Steve

Do you mind if I borrow your file for my senior report? I want something to show the frame. My unigraphics one is pretty bad

Thats fine Ken. Go ahead and use it. Thats why I put it on here. Just understand that its not exact when it come to radiuses at frame angle changes and a few things like that It would need a little more refining if you were to import into solid werks and run stress Analysis

Steve,
Stop playing on the Puter and get your a$$ to work on the zuki. I'm almost done and yours is still in a thousand pieces. BTW thanks for the parts.

Nice work. I think I would get into too much trouble with that program.

BTW It's looking like I need to find a place to store this on line. My Acount only gives me a couple of Mb of storage and thats why its ziped now. Dose anybody have an online storage spot? This file might B as big as 20 Mb by the time i'm done

I have a spot, but I have less than 28.8 dial-up! 20 mb would be all day!

Any updates to the drawing? I was checking it out last night, that's some good work. Keep it up!

I just remembered I have an old tripod site with 20 mb available and I could upload the file from work with broadband.

Let me know if you would like the wireframe converted into 3D solid, I've got SolidWorks, Adesk Inventor, SolidDesigner, ProE, and Microstation here at work.

Latest update is framedims1d.zip Find it at the link at the top of this sting Just adding body as I get to it now. SlowZuki Thanks for the offer Right now zipping it up its fitting but will come the time and i will see bout taking u up onm the offer. Ebuck Love to have these converted not sure at what point though mayB when I'm done. Don't have any solid werks programs right now but hoping to find and learn one of these days. But in the mean time I'll keep plugin away on my ACAD 14. I Hope everybody is finding this usfull. A lot of it is stock then a l;ot of it is modifide on the direction I am heading. frame to body is all stock placement and should give all a chance to design around it. Have a nice Day

What version of ACAD are you using? And ACAD can accept solid bodies...translated from just about anything into .dwg.

Would you be willing to email me a copy of your frame in wireframe?

ericb@caddadvantage.com

BTW, saw the mods you are doing in the other thread, awesome!

Oh yah....and as an ACAD user you would probably be more comfortable using AutoDesks Inventor. When you do get around to migrating to a solid based prog let me know and I can walk you thru some initial training if you would like, 6 years in this stuff, mechanical designer by trade.

Here is the latest revision
framedims1e.zip (http://http://www.members.aol.com/cmbrsum/acad/framedims1e.zip)

EBuck download this and unzip it . It is the wire frame in .DWG format

With this revision the frame and main body R done including inside. Still need to do the hood, parts of the frount fenders that I'm using, Suspention, motor, trans and Tcase. Then I will start adding caging.

Slowzuki I'm almost out of room

Had too deleat the pics for lack of room

I can provide web space if you still need/want it.

Or maybe Ken can host it for you on the moose (my server)?

Chris, would it be ok to moose it? I was just going to use my old site space on tripod since it's grown to 20 mb of space since I stopped using it!

I assumed since you were limiting the bandwidth on your site the moose was getting a little bandwidth limited!

No, go for it. This is worthwhile stuff so go ahead and stick it in your web pages somewhere.
