Anybody run Scout II rear springs in the front of a Scout II?
[list=1]
How long are the rear springs? How long are the front springs?
What is the center pin offset on the rear springs?
Do the rear springs give more/less lift in the front than using front springs? How much?

Your aproach angle would SUCK :D
Not sure off the top of my head, but I want to say 56-58", centered pin. Stock SII fronts are like 42"
I can measure this afternoon if you REALLY want.
Also got some PU and T-all springs to measure......
Mybe REAR PU springs??? Slightly shorter than SII, and 2-1/2's..... Not sure on the pin, but I think centered.

I've been told 3/4T 69-73 Travelall rear springs are a good choice for SII fronts. Theresa M. runs 'em on her SOA/RS'd SII, IIRC.
I thought about putting rear springs up front on Little Devil, but it was argued that the front springs are shorter on purpose, to help cornering. On a slow-going trail rig it may not be an issue, but I don't corner slowly. :D

I've seen Theresa's rig, and I don't think she has REAR springs on the front. The rears are MUCH longer than the fronts, and she did not extend her frame in the front.
I don't recall the rear mounting however, so it *is* possible that she off-set the center pin. But I don't belive so.
It's been I while since I saw/talked to her, but I would be willing to bet that she has 3/4 T-all springs, front on the front, rear on the rear......
then again, I could be mistaken.....
FYI, FRONT t-all/pu 4x4 springs are the same length as SII.... Only 2-1/2" wide and thinner :D :D

FWIW I remember hearing that she had the rear t-all springs on the front also.

FWIW, IIRC the Ismails have done the same conversion on a few rigs, and I think that's where Theresa and/or her dad got some tech info when they did the swap..

So.. when are you going to put some 1/2T T'all springs under your rig and report back to me?
Might be a good upgrade the next time I break leaf springs.
Would I go with the FLAT 1/2T springs, or some 3/4T springs with some arch?
Might also make Little Devil sit a little lower, too.. but I need the suspension travel to keep from beating the axle/frame and ME to death..
