I've got an extra Ford 9" and I've been toying with the idea of using it to replace the front Dana 44 in my Jeepster. What are my options for knuckles? Keep in mind that a 9" has 3 inch diameter tubes.

the only knuckles that would really make the 9" a true improvment over your current 44 is dana 60 stuff. We all know the weak link of a 44 is the U-joints and then axle shafts so using them with a 9" center really doesnt give you much

i agree. leave it a dana44 and when you get a 60 leave it a 60.

I see these combos all the time and I think its best just to go 60, or keep your 44 the way it is. I dont really see a reason why people do a 9inch center with 60 outers why not just leave it alone. I guess every ones got to be different. <IMG SRC="smilies/smokin.gif" border="0">
