'86 CJ, can the front hangers be turned around?? Is the steering box mount in the way on the left side? Maybe weld them to the frame? I know very little about Jeeps so be gentle!:flipoff2:

Reason: it has lift springs and 90* shackle angle.


Here's a silly question: Why aren't lift springs made longer than stock springs to correct for the loss of length from the arch??

What brand of lift spring did you buy? Every lift spring that I have used was longer and the shackle angles were fine.

Don't know what brand, not my Jeep. The front shackles point straight down and the rear ones point slightly forwards.

It does have longer shackles which doesn't help either. Do you know what the stock front angle is?
