Anybody had any problems changing the guage cluster in a Chevy Truck? I have an 82 with all dummy lights. Got a cluster out of a 78. We got it all to work except the temp and now the brake light comes on sometimes. I did swap the sensor for the temp. It looks like the wires in the connector need to be moved around but I don't have a good diagram for either truck.
Another thing is the temp sensor has three pins. The two on the bottom have power the one on top does not. The top one looks like a common ground since it also runs into a dashlight. Anybody know which side is the power in and which side is power out to the sensor?
Any online wiring diagrams. Haynes and Chilton books don't show the wiring for a cluster with gauges, only lights. ????
