I have one out of what was labelled as a 1973 14-bolt out of a 2wd Chevy at the junkyard. Thing is that the ID plates were all gone and there was a 1/2 ton cab on it with no bed. I was only wondering for ease of buying parts. It's 68" WMS - WMS.

AFAIK everything will be the same. with the exception of what size brakes are on it.
The only other difference I can think of is some have a hole to adjust the brakes in the backing plate.
the 14FF that I am installing this weekend, does not have this. there is a stamp for one but you cannot knock it out.
The hole for adjusting the brakes in on the front of the drum.
Those holes I knocked out with a screw driver.

Randy's says there are at least 3 different versions of the 14-bolt with different carrier bearing sizes and outer bearings sizes.

My Dana 60 had the ratio stamped into the ring gear, as well as the year..............at least I assume that was the year. Might the 14B be the same?:smokin:
