Jess, it looks really good! If/when I get an atlas II you know I'll be callin ya! This is Scott from Running Springs, zip 92382. I don't know if you remember me, but I ordered my SYE from you for my jeep. I emailed you measurements for the driveshaft from end of yoke to end of yoke.. Did you get them? I hadnt heard back from you so I didnt know if you had or not. If you want me to take a different measurement let me know. I was thinking maybe from center of yoke to center of yoke? Let me know.. the A2 disc looks good though :)

i LIKE it! wait, i have to get an atlas before i can get the disc brake, don't i :( ;)

does it run off the same master cylinder as the front/rear brakes? could i keep my rear discs? 5 discs would be totally kickass...

It runs off a cable, Its a cable actuated caliper. So all you have todo is modify your pre existing ebrake cable and it will work..

Jess, as usual, your stuff kicks ass.... I do have a couple of questions though:

1) I'm running a 3.8 Atlas with 1310 yokes and a CV shaft. In order to put this on, do I need to change shafts or output yokes? How are you working that?

2) Does the caliper bracket bolt to existing holes in the housing?

3) Can somebody give us a brief walk through on the install?

The price is DEFINATELY right, and I'm seriously interested in this one, it's just a question of weather or not I can afford the incidentals that would be impacted from the questions above.

i got your measurements and the shaft went out monday - reg. ups- i tried for friday missed it by 1/2 hour sorry- on to the install- with this kit you do have the option of either a flange 1330 (3/4 ton) c/v or the 1350 (one ton oh yeh! ) but you have to run either on of these- most of the time you can reuse your existing shaft - or just make an all new one :D - it was meant to be an upgrade to customers who already have the one ton c/v -but it really does not matter - prices vary on the length and diff combo's - the install is simple 1/2 hour max and it bolts directly to the housing of your t-case -its lever operated and can be actauted from either ides of your rig- Any more q's ? This brake system looks very cool.

If you have rear disc brakes with E-brakes already, what would be the benefits? Is this more for if you have rear discs without E-brakes or does it give you more E-brake power and reliability?

I have seen these on race type vehicles before, but I think they were the actual brakes and not E-brakes.

Jess this isn't the first time you've impressed me and I can;t imagine it'll be the last. Awesome job! can't you just sell it to atlas for over 400 and make them sell it for even more :D

Did you ever get the stuff made for the dana 20???

I would be interested in that :D

Jess

Can you post some side shots. I have an Atlas that is squeezed in pretty tight between a body floor pan and skid plate. I just wanna know how far that handbrake arrangement protrudes above and below the top and bottom of the atlas.

Also I see that you have a lever on it for the centre of the e-brake cable, but what do you do with the e-brake cable sheath. That would need to be mounted down somewhere as well.

Pics and thoughts much appreciated.

Regards

Rod
