Has anyone used front springsoff a 55 on the rear of their 40?
I heard they are the same lenth.

They are, and IIRC, the spring pin is in the same location.

The question is, why??? The springs are "identical" and offer NO advantage. If you want greater rear travel, install REAR FJ55 wagon springs. These will move your axle back 3.5" but are also 3.5" longer than stock FJ40 springs and have a centered pin. You'll need to reverse your rear shackle mount.

Now I am confused again. I thought that the 55 front springs were the same length but had centered spring pins?????
